Description
MOTS-c is unusual among research peptides in being encoded by mitochondrial rather than nuclear DNA — the name stands for “mitochondrial open reading frame of the 12S rRNA type-c,” and the sequence originates in the mitochondrial MT-RNR1 gene. That origin is why it appears in mitochondrial-signaling literature rather than alongside the receptor-agonist peptides.
Investigated in in-vitro systems for AMPK pathway assay behavior and cellular metabolic readouts. No human data is presented, referenced, or implied.
Supplied lyophilized for reconstitution in a laboratory setting. Lot-specific purity is stated on the certificate of analysis.
Supplied strictly for laboratory research use only. Not a drug, food, cosmetic, or medical device. Not for human or animal consumption, and not for diagnostic or therapeutic use. Purchase confirms the buyer is a qualified researcher and accepts sole responsibility for lawful handling, storage, and disposal under all applicable regulations.
